Bodegas Montecillo has been producing wine in Rioja for over 145 years. The wine making team is up by Mercedes Garcia Ruperez she came in 10 years ago and revolutionized the ways of working. Today the wines are fresh and bright with a real drinkability. This is one of the wineries ventures out of Rioja and is a great value for money Ribera del Duero. On the nose lots of ripe red fruits, with hints of a savory garam masala and florals. The palate has plenty of those juicy fruits and is very easy drinking. This is a perfect place to start your journey into Ribera del Duero without paying a fortune.
