The 2022-release of Bladnoch 19 Year Old is a fruity, spicy single malt that was matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Aromas of black liquorice, honeysuckle and peppery oak fill the nose, complemented by notes of dried apricots, nutmeg, almonds and liquorice throughout the palate.

I’ve visited many Scottish whisky distilleries over the years and have frankly enjoyed them all. I generally aim for 15-21 year old bottlings and have rarely been disappointed, however this one, Bladnoch 19, blew me away. I’m now 4 bottles in and have noticed no batch variation, just a nice consistency. It’s now a firm favourite of mine, I even prefer it to the Highland Park 18 and Dalmore 18, it’s that good! Cheers!
