The star of the portfolio. A true sipping whisky with elegance and grace. Perhaps the best Tennessee whisky on the market. Honey-soaked corn bread, rhum agricole, ripe nectarine, and glazed citrus. Hint of mint, green tea, and cinnamon. Very polished. 92 Points.

This is the best Tennessee Whisky I have tasted so far. The extra years of aging have paid off and it is vastly superior to anything Jack Daniels have so far produced!
I have been a George Dickel fan since I first tasted it in college, in 1964. It's the very best Tennessee whiskey there is, bar none. Being a native Tennessean, it's good to love something so fine from home. There's flavor and history in every sip. If I could only have one whiskey in this life, Dickel would be it.
It takes off like Gunpowder! Silky, refine, thin, dense, heavy acidy cider and toasty flavors. Some maple charcoal. An Ash like finish. It never ends and it running at gunpower going off. The buttery corn and soft dough notes seems pinned down. Maybe its me or the younger dickels are more like this.The empty glass has that big dusty cookie dough like smell.
I like Dickel's as much as I like Knob Creek. Dickel's is very smooth, very very good!!!!!!!JJ
