Excellent cognac.

The tasting notes are fairly accurate - this has a rich bouquet of vanilla, raisins and a bit of spice. The best way to enjoy this is to warm it up in a proper cognac glass held in your hand - it just makes the opening notes taste buttery smooth... Have it with a bite of dark chocolate (I had it with 70% cocoa but I think up to 80% wouldn't kill it). The aftertaste lingers pleasantly long beyond the last sip. All in all, it's an easy drinking, informal sort of cognac that is every bit as smooth and delicious as a VSOP should be. I have had cognacs that are far more complex, some VSOPs but mostly XOs, but it's difficult to beat this for the price and ease of consumption.
