The 2021 bottling of Delamain Collection Revelation Malaville Very Old Cognac is a single-cask Grande Champagne Cognac that was bottled in June 2021. Collection Revelation is made with grapes from the Bellevignes vines in the village of Malaville and is matured in seasoned oak. Aromas of vanilla and ripe cherry, muscat grapes, quince, figs, spices and soft leather fill the nose, complemented on the palate by notes of ground pepper and spicy oak.

Delamain's bottlings have become much more diverse of late - I miss the simplicity of the XO Pale & Dry, Vesper and Tres Venerables and knowing where you stood with each of those - but this is fantastic. Feels halfway between the Vesper and Tres Venerables of old, and ticking all the right boxes with the classic Delamain Grande Champagne cognac.
