A 2011 Aultmore single malt from independent bottler The Whisky Exchange that was matured in a single barrel for 11 years, before being bottled in 2022. The palate offers notes of rhubarb crumble, freshly-baked peach pie, vanilla toffee, creamy mint fondant and clove that linger in the finish.

Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

  • Billy Abbott, The Whisky Exchange

    • Nose

Buttery crumble topping with sharp rhubarb and softly sweet peaches are joined by crunchy barley sugar and boiled sweets: apple, pineapple and pear. Savoury brown butter and pastry notes build, balanced by sweet cream and dried apricot. Juicy stone fruit notes develop.

    • Palate

Sweet, buttery pastry and sherbet lemons are balanced by gentle spice. Things continue with fresh and zingy fruit notes – sharp peach and apple – on one side and sweet grain the other – porridge and granola.

    • Finish

Apple pie and buttery pasty with touches of chocolate at first. Aniseed and porridgey grain linger.
