Product Description
Specially selected by The Whisky Exchange, this Millstone was matured for 12 years in a single Pedro Ximenez sherry butt. While the expected dried fruits and nuts are present, this is a fresher and brighter dram than you might expect. Notes of toffee apples and honeycomb lead to roasted chestnuts, yellow sultanas, and a pleasantly prickly white pepper.

A special dram
We’re delighted to bring you this specially selected exclusive single cask bottling from our friends at Zuidam distillery in the Netherlands, matured in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask. This is a dram that offers fresh and fruity flavours, as well as notes of rich dried fruits and spice, creating a complex character that embodies this exceptional distillery’s approach to whisky making.
Dutch mastery
They say a jack of all trades is a master of none, but try telling that to Zuidam distillery. A second-generation operation perhaps better known for its range of much-loved liqueurs, jenever and gin, it became the first distillery to make whisky in the Netherlands in the mid-1990s. Today its Millstone range of whiskies are much loved, with a focus on long fermentation and made using the van Zuidam family’s estate-grown barley and rye.
The Whisky Exchange Exclusives
Since we shipped our first bottles back in 1999, we have scoured the world in search of exceptional spirits for our customers. When we come across something particularly good, we like to make sure we can offer exclusively at The Whisky Exchange. This includes our own bottlings, as well as exclusive single cask expressions and limited editions from distilleries around the world, like this exceptional Millstone.
