A super-smoky limited-edition single malt from Ardbeg, Hypernova packs a seriously peaty punch that surpasses the much-loved Supernova series. Distilled using peated barley malt with a phenol level of 170ppm, Hypernova is the the peatiest whisky ever released by the Islay distillery. Aromas of hot tar, thick smoke, sea smoke, damp hay, blackcurrants and peppermint fill the nose, complemented by peppery spice, sweet chocolate, fresh mint, pungent peat smoke, bitter almonds, clove, aniseed and earthy roast coffee throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.
