A symbol of longevity, peace and prosperity, the Rabbit is the fourth animal sign in the Chinese Zodiac cycle and brings with it a year of hope. This limited-edition Lunar New Year release of Johnnie Walker Blue Label brings together the beauty and fortune of the Rabbit with Johnnie Walker’s motto, Keep Walking. Vibrant and dynamic, the bottle features a modern interpretation of 2023’s Zodiac animal – with prancing rabbits bounding between mountainous peaks – illustrated by Shanghai-based fashion designer Angel Chen.
Angel Chen
A rising star of the fashion industry, Angel Chen, who studied fashion at the prestigious Central Saint Martin College of Art in London, drew inspiration for her design from both Asian culture and the skills that Johnnie Walker master blender Emma Walker and her team use to craft their whisky. Speaking of her design, Chen says: 'There’s a defiant energy to my illustrations which bring to life the vibrant spirit of the rabbit as it leaps across the design, symbolising how we need to keep moving forward, spreading goodness throughout the year to come.'
About Johnnie Walker
John Walker sold his first Old Highland Whisky in a Kilmarnock grocery in the 1820s. A skilled blender with a keen entrepreneurial spirit, Mr Walker’s name would soon become known in every corner of the earth. As the reputation of the whisky, signified by its striding man logo, grew through the decades, its famous square bottle became synonymous with quality. Today, It is used to say happy birthday and merry Christmas more than any other whisky in the world.
