This limited-edition 12-year-old Caol Ila single malt was bottled for the 2021 Feis Ile festival. It uses the same recipe as the Distillers Edition release, with a finishing period in ex-Moscatel-wine casks, but the difference is this has been released at cask strength. The palate offers notes of rich smoke, honey, raisins and liquorice with the classic Caol Ila briney finish.

    Very lovely whisky. Nothing blunt here, it's a delicate affair, lightly peated (or is the peat tamed by the cask type), and almost sweet, with wonderful mellow flavours from the moscatel cask.
