Customer Rating

A superlative dark golden rum from one of Central America's most celebrated producers, Flor de Cana from Nicaragua. Delicious, and one of the best rums anywhere in its price bracket. Aromas of toasted coconut, vanilla and fig are joined by flavours of honey and dark chocolate. Try this with soda or mixed with sparkling water.

This one has a much stronger taste than the 12 year, but it has more character as well. I love it.

The 7 years from Flor de Cana is a great rum for cocktails or to drink on the rocks. Not as smooth as the 12 years, but still one of my favourites.

I tried this rum with a bit of sparkling water and was amazing. If you're into rum or whisky, this is a product you definitely have to try. Doesn't have that excessive sweetness you find in other rums. Two thumbs up for me.

I first tried this when I was stationed in Honduras. Best rum I've ever had. Hard to find in the states, but not impossible. Well worth the look.

My favourite spirit in the world. While the older Flor de Cana options offer smoothness at a premium price i think the 7yr trumps them all with its balance. Given the choice i would choose this one over the others i think, its heaven in a bottle. I was paying $2.00 US in 2004 when i first tasted it, i could not believe it then or now. Great memories of sunsets at Ometepe!

Really really smooth & moorish. I nice tropical sipper indeed. I' d say one of the best Latin rums for under £30!

I bought a bottle of the 4 year old which was very nice but, my god! - this is the one. Very, very drinkable and was sad to see the last drop exit the bottle. Next time I will buy a couple of bottles so that I don't run out so quickly. Can anyone reccommend a rum any beter than this for the same price? If not then I have found my new favorite rum.

Likewise, fell in love with the cana in Nicaragua, bottle for breakfast at those prices!

I don't know what it costs in Spain, but I was getting it for ?3.50 to ?6 (for the really good stuff) in Costa Rica and Nicaragua! Never-the-less, at ?21 over here it's still more than worth it. I actually prefer the 7 year old dark rum nicer than the older models. Lovely.
