The 2023 release of Campbeltown distillery Glen Scotia's 21-year-old single malt was initially matured in a combination of refill bourbon barrels and refill American oak hogsheads, before being married for six months in first-fill oloroso sherry casks. Aromas of sweet oloroso sherry, spiced red apples, peppercorns and hints of sea salt fill the nose, complemented by notes of raisins, cloves, baked apples, star anise, cinnamon, vanilla, toffee and sea spray throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.
