Tasting Notes by TF
Nose: Waxy initially, then apple blossom, flapjacks, some earthy peat, honey, faint hint of wet cardboard. Develops on cold porridge, wet oats and some bready notes. Enticing and perfectly balanced.
Palate: Massive, beautiful attack of spices and peat, much more prominent than on the nose. Eventually the oaty and malty notes from the nose come through - honeyed porridge, some biscuity flavours. But the pepper, muscular peat and hot chilli notes are dominant and, to be honest, you wouldn't want it any other way.
Finish: A slow fade, becoming sweeter and almost floral, though the spices and peat are still tingling on the tongue at the death.
Comment: Simply awesome. It's been a while since I had Tally 10, but it's never less than fabulous.

Unquestionably my favourite single malt whisky. A complex peaty character with a slightly sweet nose make this a perfect whisky for the gentleman who appreciates the finer things in life but also a good whisky for the single malt novice
This is a fabulous whisky. Distinct character. Unlike any other. It's sweet, peppery, tarry, salty. Everything. Every time I have a drink of Talisker I think if this is some unreal form of liquid poetry.
