A vintage Armagnac from Chateau de Laballe in Landais, at the heart of Bas Armagnac, owned by the Laudet family. The unique sandy terroir of Les Sables Fauves, wood-fired distillation, and ageing in Landes oak barrels bring finesse and roundness to the final product that is undoubtedly Laballe. The 1973 vintage is made from Baco grapes grown at the estate. The nose offers unexpected notes of anise and citrus that are met with soft vanilla-caramel aromas. The palate has a smooth viscosity, with notes of sweet liquorice that linger in the finish, where it’s accompanied by citrus zest and spicy notes.
