    I bought this for a few Tiki cocktails that specify Haitian rum and on the strength of several older reviews. Unfortunately it appears these reviews were prior to some serious quality control issues and some of the current bottles are a pale shadow of Barbancourt’s former glory. The rum was okay in cocktails, but very one-dimensional and rough when sipped, with a non-existent finish. If you want an authentic Port au Prince cocktail at all costs then go ahead, but otherwise I suggest you save your money. Whisky Exchange service great as always though!
