An Islay single malt distilled in 1990 at Bruichladdich distillery, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their limited-release Connoisseurs Choice range. Distilled at a time in the distillery’s history when barely any distillation took place, this Bruichladdich stays true to the old distillery style and is a rare treat to encounter.
This whisky has spent three decades in a refill sherry hogshead gathering and perfecting aromas of stewed dates and brown sugar toffee. The palate welcomes you in with notes of sweet baked apples, marzipan and fruitcake that find solace in a nutty and oaky finish.
