Product Description

The Copperworks team are located on the waterfront in downtown Seattle where they approach whisky making from a brewer’s perspective and distil in pot stills from Scotland. This exclusive single cask expression was made from pale and caramelised malts which reflect the style and flavours of a Scottish ale. Aromas of rum cake, black pepper and orange peel fill the nose, leading to notes of caramel, walnut and leather on the palate with lingering black tea on the finish.

About Copperworks

Distilling Co

Copperworks is a craft distillery, tasting room and shop in downtown Seattle, founded in 2013 by Jason Parker and Micah Nutt. Both experienced craft brewers, they set out to explore the possibilities of malted barley by distilling high quality, unhopped beer into a range of gins, vodkas and American single malt whiskies.

From Great Brewing

Comes Great Spirits

To make whiskey, first you must make a ‘wash' – essentially a beer without the hops. Typically this bears very little resemblance to a craft beer, which is brewed for flavour without being distilled. Unlike most distilleries, Copperworks starts the process by making the best beers possible, partnering with some of Seattle’s top breweries to create complex washes, made with brewer’s yeast instead of distiller’s yeast, and fermented for at least a week to create unique flavours that come through in the final whisky.
