This wine from the island of Crete, Greece, was made by using the indigenous Melissaki grape variety only found at the foothills of Mount Psiloritis. On the nose, this vintage from 2022 offers aromas of mandarin, dried apple and acacia honey, joined by concentrated notes of ginger, lemon and tannins on the palate. This wine will benefit from oxidation, which allows the subtle nuances to breathe.

Unlike the name might suggest, this wine is not made from oranges, but an orange hue has been achieved by leaving the skins of white grapes in during fermentation.
