This Premier Cru grower’s Champagne from Gounel-Lassalle is made at the family estate in Chigny les Roses, Montagne de Reims, by Arnaud Gounel and his wife Sophie. With no sugar, this expression is made with a Meunier-led blend with a fresh nose, offering accented aromas of apricot, blackcurrant, acacia and apple-almond. The palate is coloured with notes of honeysuckle, citrus, hazelnuts and gingerbread. A delicate and nuanced Champagne that pairs well with an array of dishes from pumpkin soup and scallops to filet mignon of veal and Brie cheese.
