Product Description

Ben Nevis 10 Year Old is a superb introduction to the distillery's style. Full-bodied with a whiff of peat, lots of tropical fruit and hints of coffee, roasted nuts and dark chocolate, this is a great example of western Highland whisky.

This is one of my favourite drams from Ben Nevis, and not just because it won't break the bank. It's a rich and nutty Highlander with a hint of peaty smoke that is delicious on its own or in a highball. It takes me back to summer bonfires and cozy winter evenings, and is one I'll keep coming back to. Ning Heywood, The Whisky Exchange

    Tammy,

Love this single malt. Tried it on a tasting at the distillery in Ben Nevis. Had to buy it again.

    Ian M,

This converted me to whisky, a really smooth subtle dram that starts with a slightly fruity taste and develops into a dark chocolate flavour. Picked a bottle up at the distillery and after sampling this, it tempted me to trying more

    Mahir Ozdamar,

This has got to be one of the best 10yo core releases alongside Springbank 10yo and The Talisker 10yo. I rate it alongside the much loved but long gone Balvenie 10 yo. It is very well made, precise and full of distillery character. Why is it considerably more expensive than the other 10 year olds? Perhaps there is a good proportion of older whisky in there. Good stuff.

    Danda,

Sooo... This got into my TOP3 list I guess (together with Clynelish and Uig). Not because I could not stop drinking this whisky, it is occasional dram, but because for me this has the most recognizable distillery character. Basically I have never tasted so much character in any other whisky (not counting Islay :D) Soo many light herbs, similar of what you taste in Oban (dandelions) just at the moment you swallow... but this is powered up also by nettle and tangerine notes. It's this type of whisky that if someone give you a blind test you would just know it's Ben Nevis 10. I would love to taste this in 18y version, still 10y is quite light, and not too complex which is probably the reason why it's not so addictive after all. Of course it's top quality, smooth and little peppery, but the less you have in the bottle the less peppery it becomes, like Deanston and many 46ABV bottles. It's a marriage for life I guess... Well... Why not...
