• Havana Club 11 Year Old Small Batch / Exclusive to The Whisky Exchange
Product Description

This exceptional bottling was created by Havana Club’s maestro del ron Cubano Asbel Morales, exclusively for The Whisky Exchange. Never before has this historic brand produced a special expression for a single retailer, so it is with great pride that we introduce this 11-year-old rum, distilled and aged in Cuba. Bottled at cask strength – another first for Havana Club – it shows excellent texture and concentration of flavour while retaining the classic elegance we expect from light, dry Cuban rum. You can anticipate notes of orange oil and stone fruit on the nose, while the palate brings floral honeys, sweet spices and hints of almond.

Hecho en Cuba

A blend of single column and lighter multi-column rums, this exclusive edition was aged entirely in American white oak casks. In order to preserve the character of this rum, it has been bottled without any additives or chill filtration. The deep golden colour is totally natural, developed over at least 11 years maturation under the Caribbean sun. What you have here is a clear expression of Cuban sugarcane, the Cuban climate and the craftsmanship of the maestro ronero. Salud!

Havana Club

This iconic brand was born at a distillery in Cárdenas, east of Havana, in 1934. In the years that followed the bright, elegant style of rum pioneered there became as much a part of life in Cuba as salsa music or baseball. It has since been used to toast dignitaries and visitors to the island and starred in the Daiquiris and Mojitos that made Cuban cocktail culture famous around the world. It remains one of Cuba’s most famous exports, second perhaps only to its cigars – which incidentally make the perfect pairing for a well-aged Havana Club rum.
