Dalmore 12 is aged for the first nine years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, before half is transferred to ex-oloroso sherry casks for the final three years. The result is a whisky with a combination of sweetness and rich, sherried flavours.

Ridiculous colouring. Nose is unrefined, almost cheap. Taste is pleasant but light. No intensity. The finish is actually the best part. Surprisingly long and pleasant after a disappointing start.

A fairly good whiskey on the whole. I'm quite partial to heavily sherried scotch and some of those flavors I like can most definitely be found in the Dalmore 12. The dark fruit and Christmas Cake flavour is most present in the nose but rather disappointingly less present in the palate. A solid choice but I would recommend the Balvenie 12 or the Glendronach 12 for a sherried scotch in the same price range.

Has some very good sides to it but I can't help but be disappointed when comparing it to other richer and more flavourful whiskeys like the Glendronach 12 or the Glenfarclas 10. The sherry flavours are there but muted and the finish is a little to quick for my tastes.

Opened it with great anticipation. I was a bit disappointed, it is good but not great, lacks character. Bowmore 12 yo is better imo

disappointed, artificial flavor and color far from something natural and aged 12 years Tot good advertising for a malt scotch whiskey
