Ballantine’s has partnered with rapper, producer, actor, filmmaker and Wu-Tang Clan member RZA for the 2024 release of its seven-year-old. This highly collectible blended whisky was exclusively matured in American oak barrels, imparting aromas of toffee apples, vanilla and honeysuckle, with pear, caramel and baking spice notes on the finish. The bottle features a limited-edition design inspired by RZA's time in Scotland and features an intricate pattern of handwritted words from the poem RZA wrote on his first visit to Ballantine's, as well as the iconic Wu-Tang Clan hands motif.

The story of Ballantine’s began in 1827 when George Ballantine opened a grocery shop in Edinburgh, that eventually extended its wares to wine and spirits, specialising in quality, hand-selected malts. In 1865 Ballantine’s opened a larger premises in Glasgow and began creating his own blends, which drew so much interest he enlisted the help of one of his sons to meet the demand. By 1881, Ballantine’s blended whisky was being exported to a worldwide market, and in 1910 iconic Ballantine’s Finest was launched, becoming one of the most popular whiskies in the world.
