Product Description
Aberlour is already one of our favourite distilleries thanks to the excellent a'bunadh. Introduced in 2008, this 18 year old is now one of the stars of the range: rich and fruity, with a great textured mouthfeel.

Dried oranges and sultanas, then vanilla, almond oil and some fruit and nut chocolate.
-
Palate
Stone fruit; peaches, nectarines and yellow plums. Orange liqueur, stem ginger, spiced fruit cake and chocolate biscuits. Very likeable.
-
Finish
Long, with lingering notes of orange and caramel.

Lots of sherried fruit and spicy oak, but balanced by a freshness, and tangy tropical-fruit aromas.
-
Palate
Rich and chocolatey, with cinnamon and nutmeg, toasty oak and biscuity notes, with a clean, fresh back note for balance. Lovely soft mouthfeel.
-
Finish
Well balanced, solid.

Rich and complex, milk chocolate and butterscotch combine with ripe peach and orange zest.

Perfect structure - initial notes of soft apricot and cream offset by developing flavours of liquorice and oak with a touch of honey.
-

Very long and balanced, progresses from creme brulee to a gentle oak flourish.

Excellent stuff
-
Very good one this..full bodied and rich and complex flavours.Best Aberlour I've tasted yet..even better than I remember from a few months ago!??
-
One of my new favorite
-
very smooth and easy to drink with a splash of water, I find that I can unpack more flavour with smaller sips of this exceptional whisky
-
Not bad certainly with nice mellow cereal aromas and light sherry notes but not a huge step up from the 10 y.o. for me. I much prefer ther A'Bunadh
