Product Description
Precious few expressions of Allt-a-Bhainne are captured as single malts, owing to the fact that it is a cornerstone of many great blended whiskies. This single cask was selected for the Lost in Time series at a point in its maturation where the rarely glimpsed distillery character truly shines. At 32-years-old, It displays notes of gooseberry, fresh cream and flaky pastry, with notes of cured meat and dark chocolate, gained through extended ageing, underpinned by green orchard fruit.

Allt-a-Bhainne Distillery
Allt-a-Bhainne – Gaelic for ‘burn of milk’ – is situated just south of Dufftown, where it crafts whisky fit for the acclaimed Chivas Regal and Royal Salute blends. This hidden gem of Speyside crafts spirits of great quality and this single cask offers a perfect chance to discover its unique character. Though recent years have seen the distillery produce some richly-peated variants, this is a great example of Allt-a-Bhainne’s elegant, fruit-forward style. One to share and savour.
The Lost in Time series comprises eight excellent single casks from seven Speyside distilleries. While millions of these casks are destined for fine blended whiskies, others sit patiently as they await their destiny. These were the casks selected by Chivas Brothers and The Whisky Exchange – each bottled at different ages, but all at the height of their powers.
