This fruity and vibrant single malt from Tobermory was finished in an oloroso cask and bottled as 2024's edition of the distillery's Hebridean Series, celebrating its Isle of Mull surroundings and their effect on Tobermory's single malt. There are aromas of butterscotch, freshly baked pastries and coconut on the nose, complemented by notes of peach, honeysuckle and lemon zest on the palate.

Named for the wilderness it calls home, the Hebridean Series is an ode to Tobermory’s environment. Each edition in the series shows the evolution of the classic 15-year-old Tobermory, launched back in 2008, as it continues to develop over long finishing in oloroso sherry casks. The 26-year-old 2024 release is a rich marriage of the distillery’s maritime character with spicy, fruit-forward sherry influence gained during the additional 11 years of maturation.

Tobermory is the only distillery on the rugged island of Mull, sitting at the centre of the community from which it takes its name, a stone’s throw from the harbour’s distinctive brightly coloured houses. In addition to Tobermory single malt it also produces a heavily peated whisky under the name Ledaig. The 2024 entry in the Hebridean Series celebrates Mull with photography of the majestic native white-tailed eagle, shot by photographer Gordon Buchanan, adorning its box.
