Product Description

Bottled exclusively for The Whisky Exchange, this single-cask Cognac spent three years in French oak and an additional one year in a cask previously used for Banyuls, a French fortified wine. You can expect notes of tinned peaches and honeysuckle, with toasted baking spice, lychee and chocolate-covered-cherries on the palate. The finish is long and fruity with hints of oak spice.

    • Nose

      Juicy peaches and soft honeysuckle to start, builing to dried apricots and woody spices. Hints of clove peek through after a while, as well as white pepper, vanilla, lychee and apples.

    • Palate

      Sticky caramel and spicy ginger lead the way for baked apples, soft plums, peppery oak and vanilla. A layer of cinnamon, summer flowers, dark cherries, toasted almonds and toffee emerges.

    • Finish

      Floral and fruity, apricot tart and baked apples open the door for luxurious, lingering touches of dark chocolate, caramel and oak spice.

This simple cocktail accentuates the fresh fruit and floral notes in this beautifully elegant Cognac with the addition of elderflower and fresh grapes.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Mother’s Measure Cognac
  • 20ml Elderflower cordial
  • 20ml Fresh lemon juice
  • Soda water
  • White grapes

Slice 3-4 grapes in half and drop them into a highball glass. Add all the other ingredients – except the soda – followed by plenty of ice. Top with about 100ml soda water and stir gently to combine the ingredients without losing your fizz. Serve and enjoy.

If you want to be extra extravagant on Mother’s Day, you can swap the soda water for your favourite dry Champagne.
