The 24th Foursquare Exceptional Cask Selection maintains the high standard we’ve come to expect from this series, offering powerful notes of citrus oil, treacle tart, fresh ginger and Sarawak pepper. Ageing in white oak bourbon barrels contributes a layer of vanilla ice cream and coconut without obscuring the underlying spirit character. One for the rum lovers, naturally, but anyone who appreciates fine spirits will find lots to enjoy here.

    Pete,

    The 2000 series of Vintage titled releases has a similarly in age and presentation strength, but don’t let that fool you into believing that they all taste the same. From 2004 through to 2011 (excluding the 2006 Velier bottling), each release has enjoyed its own profile whilst being recognisable as a Foursquare. This 2011 release is possibly the very best of them all due to the complexity of delivery and sheer drinkability. It may also be the last time we see a Foursquare ECS bottling carry a year/vintage name as well. Too good to miss out on, definitely worth picking up a bottle or two.
