Customer Reviews
I have managed to get my hands on a bottle still in original box never opened my hubby's birthday treat x
Hi Leda, It doesn't say bottled in the 1970s on the label, and it definitely isn't a single malt or grain whisky. However, we're not 100% sure if it's definitely a whisky liqueur (even though it's from the Drambuie), as 'liqueur whisky' was a term sometimes used in the old days to signify a smooth, top-end 'deluxe' blend with after-dinner qualities like a digestif. Also, a whisky is only forty years old if it has aged for forty years in the cask before being bottled - the 'age' of a whisky does not increase after that, no matter how old the bottle is. If you're looking for a forty year old whisky, we suggest you try our birthdays and anniversaries section: http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/VintageAndBirthdays.aspx . Hope this helps, TWE Admin
I am looking for a bottle of 40 year old whisky for my brother's 40th birthday. Is this a whisky liquer, like drambuie (one of my fave liquers) or a single malt or grain whisky? Does it state that bottled in 1970s? Thanks
iv still got a bottle of this in its box, i got it off the owners of the company, dont think i'll ever open it,
As far as we're aware, this has been out of production for a very long time - enjoy the rest of your bottle :)
