Deanston's single malt, famous as the whisky used in the much-missed Wallace whisky liqueur. Trivia snitched from the Malt Whisky Yearbook: Deanston is the only distillery in Scotland that is self-sustaining for electricity, being equipped with a dam and a turbine.Tasting Notes (1)
Fresh hays of summer, malty cereal, rich creamy toffee and honeyed heather balanced with sweet oak and barley sugar.
Smooth creamy sweetness with sumptuous hints of fruit, malty honeyed spiciness and soft vanilla.
Crisp and satisfying with a tingle of cloves which linger, then gently fade.

Been drinking single malts for decades and had never tried Deanston 12! Wow! What a amazing single malt. Rank it next to Oban 14. Beautiful on the nose, amazing on the pallet and the finis is just exquisite. Must, must, must try! Enjoy ??????
Coming to the end of my bottle and wish I could be negative so no one buys it LOL. I love this malt it's summer in a glass, beautiful golden colour, sweet honey and vanilla and the smell of cereals, fruits and fresh fields. At 46%, natural colour, NCF and the price just a quality malt well done Deanston. Also cheers to TWE for their great service.
For the price this some of the best you can get. Enjoy!
Deanston 12 is an extremely nice, inexpensive single malt for a scotch drinker wanting plenty of flavor, no smoke and little heat.
Deanston was the first scotch I ever tried, and after going on a journey of discovery tasting various different whiskies from all the regions, it remains my number 1! Deliciously malty, resinous, barley sugar and fresh wood.. with a finish that lingers long after your last sip. Overall an amazing dram and I would highly recommend to anyone whether you are experienced or not!
