Customer Rating

A 10 year rum from St Nicholas Abbey, based in the north of Barbados and owned by Larry Warren since 2006. This is a blend of pot and column still rums bought with the distillery, reracked into new casks and then matured for up to 12 years before blending and bottling. The bottle is also quite special, engraved and topped with a stopped made of windfall mahogany. A special and unique Bajan rum.

A Porbach - They make an 8 Year Old and 12 Year Old which can only be bought from the plantation (as far as I'm aware) this "10 Year Old" is the only blend that's available outside of the distilery on sale commercially. That being said, all ages are marvelous and they've recently released a White Rum which is like no other I've tasted - you can sip it just as easily as any of golds!

This is one of the most irritating rums on the market. After tasting it in-store at TWE I could think of nothing else all afternoon, and couldn't rest until I'd ordered a bottle. The preserved peach aftertaste stays with you for hours. Delightful.

anonymous: Unfortunately they don't list the year on the box, and the boxes are all sealed. I don't think they list the year on the bottle either...

What year is this rum? I am looking for a 2009 bottle for my mother's anniversary.

A friend of mine knows the owners of this distillery and brought me a bottle back last year. Very nice, full, rich flavour.

I recently visited Barbados and had the pleasure of visiting the distillery and picking up a bottle or two. A fantastic rum with a deep nutty and vanilla flavour. It is actually a 12 year old, the label just hasn't been updated. This is a sipping rum to truly be savoured.
