Product Description
Penderyn was Wales’ first whisky distillery in over a century and has earned a reputation for producing fruit-forward single malts.
This 10-year-old single cask, matured in an ex-Bourbon cask, is a true fruit bomb. On the nose, delicate aromas of pear skin, peach, beeswax, and yellow flowers create an inviting introduction. The palate is rich and expressive, bursting with flavours of foam banana, roasted pear crumble, vanilla-dusted donuts and wild honey.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Billy Abbott, The Whisky Exchange
Nose
Sweet, crisp and fruity: apples, pears, nectarines and bananas. Barley sugar sweetness builds, balanced by star fruit and yellow plum. With time in the glass, richer notes of toffee, vanilla and buttered brioche appear, along with blanched almonds and musky spice.
Palate
Weightier than the nose suggests, with sponge cake and brioche leading to a bright and fruity core of apples, pears and bananas, with a touch of unripe pineapple and mango. Chocolate-covered foam banana sweets and beeswax-polished oak develop.
Finish
Apples and bananas linger, with vanilla cream and oaky spice slowly fading.
About Penderyn
Founded in 2000, Penderyn was the first whisky distillery in Wales in more than 100 years. The company has changed a lot over the past 25 years, starting in a small distillery with a single Faraday still, specially designed for Penderyn, it now operates three distilleries across the country, using both Faraday and traditional pot stills. The result is a wide range of whiskies with a character focused on rounded, elegant fruit flavours.

Haha that was me below as Penderyn do great great Grand Slam bottlings as well. I cannot believe this is still available as I have 2 bottles, a 10yr old cask strength that leaves many single malt cask strengths in its wake. If its still being advertised in June I'll buy another bottle.
Fantastic Just need Wales to win a Grand Slam
