This maritime-tinged whisky from Glenglassaugh, sat right on the coast at Portsoy, was our first choice to represent Pisces in The Zodiac Series. Hints of sea spray are joined by balanced dried fruit and spice, as well as Glenglassaugh's classic soft fruitiness. Maturation in a refill sherry cask has helped create the perfect balance of cask and distillery character, as well as great depth of flavour.

Tasting Notes

Billy Abbott, The Whisky Exchange
- Nose
  Caramel waffles and vanilla shortbread with baked apples, brown-sugar-dusted porridge, hints of leather and gentle floral notes. Stone fruit develops: dried apricots and fresh peaches.
- Palate
  Rich and malty, with caramel sauce and treacle toffee alongside cinnamon toast and speculaas biscuits. Stewed and baked apples develop, followed by dark chocolate.
- Finish
  Gentle char, dark chocolate and cinnamon spice fade to leave mint and damp leaves.

We scoured Scotland in search of casks with the perfect combination of flavours to evoke the character and feel of these ancient archetypes. Each bottling created for The Zodiac Series is limited to the outturn of a single cask and is offered without chill filtration or added colouring.
