While Bunnahabhain is better known for its unpeated spirit, it also produces a range of other styles of whisky, including Staoisha, this unapologetically peaty spirit, packed with smoky bacon and roasted orchard fruit.

- Nose
  Smoky bacon on toasted rye bread with brown butter and singed green leaves. The greenness builds through mulchy grass into piles of damp leaves, with roasted hazelnuts and sweet, lightly singed caramel underneath.
- Palate
  A bright sweetness at first, with roasted green apples, pears and limes soon joined by digestive biscuits and shortbread, all covered with thick and pungent peat smoke. Tarriness develops alongside mint and liquorice.
- Finish
  Singed mint and mint imperials linger.
