Taurus is all about solidity and power, and this rich, dark and powerful whisky from Dailuaine was an immediate pick for the star sign. Maturation in a first-fill Pedro Ximenez cask has given Dailuaine's weighty spirit thick layers of dried fruit in addition to its underlying stewed orchard fruit character. Roasted nuts and gentle spice round things out, completing this deep and complex whisky.

- Nose
  Toffee and nuts to start: hazelnuts and peanuts with a touch of caramel. Sharp green apple notes develop, balanced by vanilla fudge and candied almonds.
- Palate
  Burnt toffee and singed cinnamon sticks lead to spiced fruitcake and Eccles cakes. Treacle toffee and fudge develop, along with brown butter, butterscotch cookies and caramel wafer biscuits.
- Finish
  Touches of tar linger, joined by dark stewed apple notes and fruit cake.
