Magilligan is a range of Irish whiskeys. Its eight-year-old expression is one of very few peated Irish whiskies and the standard expression calls itself 'Pure Potstill'. This is confusing as the term 'potstill' in Ireland refers to whiskey that has been distilled in a potstill using a mash of mostly unmalted barley, whereas Magilligan is made with 100% malted barley and is therefore a single malt.
