Armagnac

France's second-best-known spirit, Armagnac is a grape brandy produced in the Gascony region of south-west France, as it has been since at least the 15th century. A fuller-bodied, and some would say more rustic style of brandy when compared to Cognac, it's often produced by itinerant distillers, sometimes aged for many years and makes an excellent digestif.
