Port is a fortified wine produced in the Douro, a valley in Portugal running from near the Spanish border in the north-east of the country to Porto, the coastal city which gives the wine its name. Port is available in variants including white, ruby, tawny, late-bottled vintage and more – each of which offers something different and distinctive to the drinker.
