Les Saintes Rum Punch | The Whisky Exchange

Ingredients

  • 300ml rum
  • 200ml St Germain
  • 200ml fresh pineapple juice
  • 200ml fresh passion fruit juice
  • 100ml fresh lime juice
  • 3 pinches pink peppercorns
  • 5 star anise
  • a pinch freshly grated nutmeg
  • lime wheels
  • passion fruit
  • pineapple wedges
  • large blocks of ice

Equipment

  • punch bowl
  • 10 punch glasses
  • shot measure
  • lime squeezer

Method

  1. Add the large blocks of ice (if you don’t have time to make this you can add a few scoops of regular cubed ice but beware the punch will dilute much faster).
  2. Add the pink peppercorn and star anise to the bowl
  3. Grate nutmeg over the top

Did you know?

Punches are a great way to enjoy rum and if you're in the Caribbean you'll see them everywhere. Les Saintes is an island that's part of Guadeloupe, but we've gone for an aged rum from nearby Martinique instead of a more local rum. The pair of islands are the home of French-style cane-juice rhum, and we like the extra character that ageing brings to Trois Rivières Cuvée du Moulin.
