Tasting Notes
- Colour
- Mahogany gold.
- Nose
- Hot creamy caramel, roasted hazelnuts, overripe pears and soft vanilla drift into play. Maple syrup, delicate aged oloroso sherry and crushed almonds all add up to make this an opulent dram.
- Palate
- Baked-apple segments dusted with Demerara sugar and cinnamon, kiwi fruits and hot mulled wine. A fusion of sun-dried sultanas, glazed pineapple and lemon verbena provides the perfect aftertaste.

About Isle of Jura
The building that houses Jura was constructed in 1960, however the site previously housed a distillery from 1810 to 1901. Rebuilt by Charles Mackinlay, the first spirit after rebuilding was produced in 1963, with the first single malt appearing 11 years later. Now under the ownership of Whyte & Mackay, the distillery produces a range of whiskies from 10 to 21 years of age, as well as the lightly peated Superstition and heavily peated Prophecy, and a raft of popular special editions.
