Eight Exceptional Single Malts – Once Lost, Now Found
There are millions of casks of whisky maturing in warehouses across Scotland. Many are destined to become part of signature single malts or fine blended whiskies, while others are left to mature indefinitely, lost in time as they await their destiny. This collection contains eight single cask whiskies, each one bottled at a point where distillery character and the influence of ageing are in perfect balance.

Capturing the Moment
Over the years, a cask of whisky may grow significantly in stature and complexity, but it will one day reach its peak, after which comes slow decline. Searching for exceptional single malts is not just about finding the right barrels or hogsheads, but capturing distillery character at its best. That’s what the Lost in Time series is all about.
In order to preserve the essence of these eight single malts, each one has been bottled at natural strength and without chill filtration.
Made in Speyside
These eight casks, selected by Chivas Brothers and The Whisky Exchange, showcase some of Speyside’s great distilleries. We have chosen to bottle them at different ages – most of them coming from the final vintages of the 20th century – but each at a point in its maturation where the spirit character really shines.
As casks filled before the great single malt boom of the early 2000s become increasingly scarce, we are proud to offer a snapshot of these Speyside distilleries at the turn of the millennium.
