Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

  • Tasting Notes by Dawn Davies MW

    • This cuvée was created in 1964 as a tribute to the House’s founder Nicolas Billecart; a rosé followed in 1988 to celebrate his wife. The grapes are all sourced from grand cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims and come from a very good vintage.

It is partially fermented in traditional oak casks which gives extra body and intensity. Roasted hazelnut, dried mango, apple, date, dried autumn leaves and toasted brioche and combine on the palate to give a rich, intense experience.

Perfect with light fleshed game birds and white meats.
