A rare old bottling of Old Comber Pure Pot Still, showcasing notes of gooseberries, lemon custard, rhubarb, and cream, with hints of brown sugar. One of the last whiskies produced at the Old Comber distillery before its closure. At the time, it was the last pot still distillery in Northern Ireland. A rare chance to taste a long-aged Irish pure pot still whiskey.

I have comber whiskey but not this one. Mine is 70% proof and I know it is authentic as I went with my father to the distillery to collect the last crates before it closed. Mine is 5 star.

About 30 years ago I bought 5 bottles of old comber. I happened apon them while looking for a present for a collector friend like myself. I gifted two, one to my friend and one to my brother. I opened one and kept the remaining two. It is like no other. It tastes old. It's full of flavour. It's like no other Irish whiskey. How could I describe it? It's like drinking an opened bottle of Distillers edition Cragganmore through a pair of hiking socks that have done the four peaks in one day. Somehow it is slightly peaty. It almost leaves a velvet glove on your tongue with a soft slightly Smokey memory of Iggy's Bar in Kincasslagh. Not that I've ever had one there, but when I die, I will have one there after a couple of the best pints of Guinness ever served with my friend and saviour. J.C.

As a well progressed octogenarian and native of County Down, I well recall Comber. It was ordinary to harsh. i wouldn’t waste my money on it! My star rating is flattering.

I am from Comber and have had this on very few rare occasions. I didn't realise the price, we have a case in the basement and have been giving it away as gifts. Wonderful stuff
