I’m a big fan of Paul John, having tried all their core and cask strength expressions. I recommend “Brilliance” or “Bold” over this, the mouthfeel is a bit thinner and flavor are a bit muddled on this one - the other two are excellent.
0/5 if I could. This might be the single worst whisky I've had the displeasure of tasting. It's like someone grabbed a bunch of leftover undesirable malts- some peated, some not - tossed them all into a vat blindly, and bottled the result. You can, and should, do better, even at this price point.
I was presented a bottle very recently by afriend who arrived from Goa. An excellent whisky with a good nose and a equally good taste and even outdoes some of the reputed NCF Scotch whiskies of similar strength. Paul John whiskies are not presently sold in Bengaluru but was assured by the local helpline that they should be marketed here probably from January 2015 onwards. I look forward to that.
