Pierre Ferrand Ambre Reviews
Producer's Tasting NotesAn amber, almost golden yellow color. The subtle vanilla nose develops floral notes of rose and violet. Fruity plum and apricot aromas, move towards notes of sweet apple and pear pastries. Pierre Ferrand Ambre is fresh and well-balanced on the palate.

Great for the price.
Great for the price. A bit of a bargain in fact. Smooth, it has that typical real cognac lightness on the palate. On the sweeter side, floral, little alcohol burn. Very pleasant.
A very good Cognac. Maybe my favorite in the Pierre Ferrand Range. Pierre Ferrand Ambre is full of fruit (peach, Apricot...)and flower flavors. I recommend it in a sidecar or in a Cognac Punch!
I've tried the 'Reserve' (20 years old) and the 'Selection Des Anges' (30 years old) is on order. I picked up the 'Ambre' (10 years old) the other day for a little perspective and it's very good. The finish is a little shorter than the 'Reserve' and it sometimes feels a little hot on the palate, but not too bad at all. I strongly recommend anything from Pierre Ferrand; the best cognacs I have ever had.
