Tasting notes by Billy Abbott (The Whisky Exchange)Nose: Rounded and fruity: window putty with apples and a touch of mango. Soft porridgey notes develop: cream and rich with a pinch of salt. Sweetness builds, with sultanas and plump raisins balanced by a touch of oatcake.
Palate: Thick mouthfeel with rich toffee sauce drizzled over the porridge from the nose. Spice builds along with darker caramel notes and touches of caffé latte. White and milk chocolate hide at the back.
Finish: Juicy and mouthwatering, with caramel and chocolate leading to apples, pears and more porridge.
Comment: Creamy all the way through, with flashes of fruit and more.
