Francois Merlin has vineyards on some of the best sites in Condrieu. He ages the wines in a mix of old and new barrels so as not to over power the wine with oak. The palate is an explosion of flavour including jasmine tea, pear skin, ginger and toasted oak. This is a wine for savouring with buttered langoustine or lobster, or with a fresh Thai curry.
