A single cask rum from Plantation, made at Jamaica's Long Pond distillery, it has been matured for at least seven years in an ex-bourbon cask, before being transported to France and finished in a Tokaji cask for a further year and a half.

Tasting Notes

Billy Abbott, The Whisky Exchange
- Nose
  Buttered, roasted bananas and caramel sauce to start, with a kick of sweet grape slowly developing. Clove and berry fruit touches hide at the back, along with cinnamon toast and vanilla cream. Medicinal touches sit just beneath the surface, almost hidden by beeswax-polished oak.
- Palate
  Golden syrup and ripe banana sweetness veers into a wall of baked apple, sweet grapes and sultanas. Soft spice sits underneath – cinnamon and nutmeg – and butter icing is spread thinly on top. The grape notes build, adding sweet muscat to the sultanas from the nose. Hints of barrel char build, balancing the sweet fruit.
- Finish
  Spiced pastry and apples disappear under a wave of cinnamon spice. As the spice fades, fruit builds, along with hints of liquorice.
- Comment
  A naturally sweet rum, with the Tokaji adding grape notes to the already fruity Long Pond spirit.
