Product Description
A luxurious single malt that perfectly showcases the orange, apricot and honey notes at the heart of the Macallan spirit. American oak sherry seasoned casks bring hints of butterscotch and caramelised pecans, while European oak lends spices and darker notes of coffee and chocolate. This bottling shows how Speyside’s most famous distillery continues to shine more than 200 years after its founding. A great dram by any measure.

Slightly darker single malt whiskey, quite a distink and heady smell. Very smooth with a stonger and longer lasting after taste. Personally prefered the "Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask"
A nice balance of all the flavours but did find this a but thin compared to other Macallan whisky. I think other brands at this price point have a lot more flavour, nice to try but don't think I would have again.
I am half way through a bottle and I will start off by saying it will not be replaced with another bottle. I have found it uninspiring to drink it is by no means a bad whiskey it carries a lot of lovely flavours but I the whole experience a tad thin. I can’t help but feel that if this had came out of a different distillery at this price point then it would be a bit of a laughing stock.
I’m a ‘regular’ whisky drinker and drank this neat to start with, walnut in colour with a very similar brandy / caramel aroma to the Macallan Double Cask 12 year but rounder and slightly more bodied. However, a harsh whisky both in the mouth and as it goes down, which was completely unexpected as the 12 year was, surprisingly, smoother, this then had to be mixed to soften it. Based on this I would not buy again or recommend.
Very good whiskey. Smooth and great taste. But, price is too high. It should be one third less at least, and then would get 5 stars. For now only 3.
