I bought a bottle when I was in Japan. It,s like a good Speyside malt ...... Singleton or Strathisla......but with a bit more bite. Very good !
Great whiskey, sweet vanilla undertones reminiscent of many bourbons. Smooth finish.
Quite good blend, but as always with japanese whisky, it's overrated. In the same price range and with quite similar characteristics of vanilla, honey and nuttiness, you can take a bottle ov Balvenie 12, with an age statement, and which is pure malt.
It's another lovely marriage of Yoichi and Miyagikyo with more soft water and familiarity.
Simply amazing.
